An introduction to Vast Nexus �?what we're building, why we're building it, and how we plan to ship 10+ AI-native products this year.
I’m Jason, and this is the very first post on the Vast Nexus blog.
For the past year I’ve been building AI-native software as a one-person team. The first product, Narraify, is now live �?and roughly ten more are queued up to ship this year.
Why Vast Nexus exists
The model wars are largely over. Foundation models are commodities. The bottleneck is no longer “can we build it” �?it’s “can we build the right thing fast enough.” That favors focused, opinionated, small teams that ship.
Vast Nexus is a portfolio company built around three beliefs:
- AI is a 10× lever for individuals. A solo dev with the right tools can ship at the velocity of a 30-person team in 2020.
- Craft compounds. A reusable design system, a shared backend, and a unified brand mean each new product is faster than the last.
- Build in public. Distribution is now half the battle. Sharing the work creates leverage no marketing budget can buy.
